Counterbalance fork lift trucks are the most common type of fork lift truck. Counterbalance trucks have forks protruding from the front of the machine, this means that the truck can be driven up to the exact location of the load or racking.
Many counterbalance fork lift trucks have side shifts, a mast tilt facility and a driver cab; they can be used outdoors on stable, or even surfaces and also in indoor warehouses and stores.
Counterbalance machines are available as electric, gas or diesel powered and can include a three-wheeled model that provides better manoeuvrability in narrow aisles.
